Scenographic Installation for children about the myths of Brazilian folklore Year 1998 Place SESC Pompéia and roaming footage 3000 m² ![]() How to present characters for children who are part of oral tradition in Brazil, without removing the atmosphere of mystery and fear surrounding theirstories? They are characters like Curupira and Saci Perere, which were createdaround the campfire, entangled in the forest, and that are part of the Brazilianimagination. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The idea was to transpose to the installations this elusive aspect of thecharacters, without falling in the simple representation with dolls. We build aforest where the characteristics of the characters were hinted and mimicked onthe scene, thus avoiding their images.Light and sound were essential to involve and give the climate on theenvironments. Electromechanical equipment and images in computer graphicshelped the narrative. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
