We wanted to build a scenario as delicate and subtle as a Japanese print, with the minimum information. The whole scenario was made with a tissuecalled organdy that no longer exists, allowing a very special density treat. Inthe initial design the stage would literally come down, dismantling completelyin the grand finale. But in the first test scenario we realized that, with thedramatic sequence culminating in the death of Butterfly, the fall could nothappen. The scenario, as it was, was enough to involve the action.
