Both operas were based on stories by Chekhov and present a psychologicaldensity which is typical of his work. We focused the action in a narrow andlimited space on the stage.
In “The Bear”, the tension established in the relationship between a youngwidow and a debtor occur within a ring decorated with furniture of the earlytwentieth century.
In “Talk About Water Birds”, the theater stage is the basis for another smallerstage surrounded by a curve curtain like in the small school auditorium of thesixties.
