Last opera in Wagner’s Ring Cycle, it begins with destiny being ruled by “Brazilian Norns”, who weave a patchwork with all events in the world. “Valhalla” – the abode of Gods – is a semi-transparent spiral, upside down.

The Rhine maidens meet Siegfried by the river, in a former fish market, like the ones we still have next to Brazilian rivers, made of cast stone. This piece is a pantograph and is closed in open scene to then vanish in the catwalk.
